Darren & I jetted off to New York June 2008 to be married!
Yes, we finally tied the knot in Manhattan Marriage Bureau, 20th June, 2010. Typically, we did it our way, organising it ourselves; no 'package holiday' experience, thank you very much!
We were honoured to have Karen & Stef as our Chief Bridesmaid & Best Man and witnesses- yes they signed our lives away, ha ha ha!
We did it in style, staying at the Hyatt Hotel , 5th Avenue, 5 minutes walk from Times Square.
After the ceremony, we enjoyed our "wedding Breakfast': the best burger in the world, in the Burger Joint, frequented by film & music stars. Karen & Stef had been there before on their own NYC trip & recommended it. They were sooo spot on!

Then we whizzed off onto the subway (still in full bridal dress) & played in Central Park. I've never known such a warm and friendly city; we lost count at 65+, how many times we were congratulated by New Yorkers all over the city.
Our 'Reception' was held in Darren & I's favourite Irish Bar downtown, where I enjoyed one of the best Guinness' I've ever tasted.
Karen & Stef bought us a helicopter trip over Manhattan as our wedding gift...wow...what an amazing experience. One we shall never forget.
A wonderful, magical, fun 4 days in The Big Apple, with my new husband, shared with the two most wonderful people in our lives. Now I'm just trying to wangle a way back there...
New York anyone?
